摩尔门大队

摩门教大队（Mormon Battalion）是在美墨战争1846-1848年创建的一支美国军队，其成员几乎都是耶稣基督后期圣徒教会（摩门教）的信徒。摩门大队是美国军事史上唯一的一支宗教性军事部队。该大队并未参加军事冲突，主要工作是铺设道路和修建要塞。大队的人数约有500多人。一些摩尔门大队的退伍军人后来在加州发现金矿，成为加州淘金潮之始^[1]。
