故事情节
本该死亡的约翰·米尔顿（尼可拉斯·凯吉饰）为了报丧女血仇并拯救被邪教抓去献祭的孙女，取走杀伤力极强的武器“弑神者”，自地狱踏回人间，赶在满月前夕，追寻邪教组织首领约拿·金格（比利·柏克饰）。得知此事的撒旦派出旗下属之簿记（威廉·菲德内尔饰），要将约翰·米尔顿缉拿归狱。
于科罗拉多州遇上并解救遭未婚夫毒打的派珀（安柏·赫德饰），两人同行下，狂飙著自老战友韦伯斯特（大卫·摩斯饰）手中取回的黑色道奇挑战者，撞破了乡间的宁静，不论是地狱使者还是邪教领袖，为解救心爱的孙女，米尔顿都将冲破横挡在两人面前的一切阻碍。

制作
影片使用了3D技术拍摄，电影摄影机为Paradise FX系统[11]，并由盖瑞·滕尼克利夫（Gary Tunnicliffe）负责特效之制作[12]。片中米尔顿所驾驶的三部车分别为1963年出产的别克未来（Buick Riviera）、1969年出产的道奇战马（Dodge Charger）和1971年出产的雪佛兰Chevelle SS 454[13]。
