发展

2015年8月，宣布狮门正在制作一部改编自《边缘禁地》的电影，由阿里·阿拉德和阿维·阿拉德（英语：Avi Arad）担任制片人[3]。2020年2月，宣布该片将由艾利·罗斯执导，克雷格·麦辛（英语：Craig Mazin）编剧[4]。5月，凯特·布兰琪为饰演角色莉莉丝进行洽谈，并于同月底确认出演电影[5][6]。2021年1月，凯文·哈特加盟演员阵容[7][8][9]。2月，洁美·李·寇蒂斯和杰克·布莱克加盟演员阵容[10][11]。3月，雅瑞安娜·葛林布雷、佛洛里安·蒙特亚努和海莉·班奈特加盟演员阵容[12][13][14]。

拍摄

主体拍摄于2021年4月1日在匈牙利开始进行[15][16]。

2023年1月，提姆·米勒接手执导本片为期两周的补拍，罗斯则为了拍摄长片《恐怖感恩劫》（2023年）而不回归参与补拍作业，但仍给予米勒祝福[17]。2023年6月，麦辛从该项目中删去了自己的名字，并使用化名乔·克龙比（Joe Crombie）[18]。

发行

《边缘禁地》2024年8月9日由狮门安排在美国院线上映[19][20]。2022年11月9日进行了内部试映[21]。
