披甲戰士

披甲戰士(Man-at-arms，armsman 或 coistrel），用來指中世紀中期到文藝復興時期的一名精通武藝，披全套盔甲乘馬戰鬥的戰士。他可能是騎士或貴族，也可能指他們的隨從，或是他們指揮官指揮下的同行傭兵。這些人從軍的目的是為了賺錢或是出於封建義務。騎士和披甲戰士這兩個詞常能互換，只是所有為戰爭備好甲的騎士都是披甲戰士，而未必所有披甲戰士都是騎士。
