羅伯聃
羅伯聃,原名羅伯特·湯姆(英語:Robert Thom; 1807年—1846年),漢名羅伯聃,是19世紀英格蘭的翻譯家,為廣州的怡和洋行工作。在第一次鴉片戰爭時期被借調到英國武裝部隊。
生平
文學作品
1840年羅伯聃將伊索寓言翻譯為中文,據說僅有的能說流利北京話的西方學者。[2]他還英譯了明朝的《今古奇觀·第三十五卷·王嬌鸞百年長恨》,並為中文學生出過幾本教科書。[3][4]
