埃埃卡托

埃埃卡托（古典納瓦托語：Ehēcatl）是前哥倫布時期中美洲神話（以阿茲特克神話為主）中的風神。他在納瓦文化中常被視為羽蛇神的一個面相，故有埃埃卡托-克特薩爾科瓦托（Ehecatl-Quetzalcoatl，其中Quetzalcoatl 即羽蛇神之名）之稱。^[1]在創世說中他被視作創世神之一。^[2]

因風有多種方向，所以埃埃卡托亦是代表羅盤各個方向的神祇。祭祀埃赫卡托的神廟為減小空氣阻力而建造成圓柱形，且埃埃卡托有時被描繪為覆著兩張面具的人，風通過這兩張面具吹出。
