Testing

Trying to make the language list for 繁體字 Main Page. The brackets and spacing between each item looks terrible. Need to use single-width font for that.

其他語言: (not yet finished)

(Testing out categorizing portals in alphabetical order by geographical location)

Templates

Template:TwAsiaTable I think it's better to divide the display of countries into regions. This way, it's easier to locate other countries in Asia instead of all countries lumped together contiguously.

There was already a 世界政區 - 亞洲 but I thought it's more convenient to have the list of all countries available for quicker navigation. I could be wrong though, if this is not necessary. I have no idea why Shizhao deleted *行政區 at the bottom. Someone else had said not to include Hong Kong and Macau in the list because they're not considered countries, hence me adding the * Administrative region at the bottom of the table. Oh well, if someone edits what I do, I won't fight back since I expect it will turn into a war.

Template:TwChinaTable I made the China template because the existing template was in simplified Chinese. Also I don't like everything being lumped contiguously, it's really ugly and a bad practice. When I edit pages, I do it thinking how I want it to LOOK like as an end user of Wikipedia. I think aesthetics is very important as well as navigation. I get the feeling in the Chinese community, people don't put much effort in these aspects, only focus on the content.

Template:TwEUTable Again, my detest for all things not being categorized. I went one better and listed the countries according to the year they joined the now "European Union". I can only hope other people will have a similar attitude for categorizing items and not ignoring design and navigational issues.

Template:TwUSATable A simplified Chinese version already exists which just copies the English Wikipedia version template. It actually looks nicer having all 50 states listed together in alphabetical order. What I did was find out that USA is categorized into 6 regions and listed the states as such. Also, Washington, D.C. is the popular name but it's actually located in the D.C. = {Federal} District of Columbia.

I saved the map images from the English Wikipedia and edited them using MS Paint. For areas where the original text is over the national borders, I just zoomed in to fix the pixels.

I had a bit of a problem trying to edit this map, my Windows XP is set in Korean locale so some Chinese characters don't show up (display as square) so I had to type the name in my web browser and use printscreen and then cut n' paste from another MS Paint into the Mongolia map. It helps that white background can act as transparent when moving the pasted selection.
A special thanks goes out to Menchi for helping me out with the place names in Chinese.

Added 軍事境界線 to both North Korea & South Korea maps.
